Blog of the Year Award…? Oh, you really shouldn’t have! ;)

Broken Heart Recovery has made me blush. This uber-strong lady — who has been such a great source of encouragement to me through both the story of how she is battling to fix her marriage against her husband’s horrific betrayals and the nice comments she’s given on my posts — has nominated me for Blog of the Year. And since it’s one of those awards where you have to give a reason for the people you’re nominating, she also said some really lovely things about my little vent-corner of the blogoshpere. Thank you, BHR! :)

Well, I can’t pass up the chance to keep this ball rolling before Baby New Year drops his ball in Times Square…. Oh, there are so many blogs that I love out there! I’m just going to limit myself to five. My nominees are:

http://persuaded2go.wordpress.com/ Hiddinsight has not only shares the flip-side of a marriage that recovers from cheating (she was the one who had an emotional affair in this case), but her humorous, unabashed take on life makes you realize that it’s fun to revel in the small-stuff. Additionally, she’s been one of my most empathetic supporters, and has reached out to me with my own struggles since I started my own blog.

http://lessonsfromtheendofamarriage.com/ After experiencing devastating betrayal that would have broken many others, Lisa Arends shares her happy-ending story and gives real-world tips on how to come back from disaster. I’ve learned so much from this woman!

http://soselfindulgent.wordpress.com/ A raw, funny, poignant blog that I can identify with waaaay too much! Realizing her marriage has reached the end of the road, soselfindulgent follows her instincts for right or wrong, grabs life by the balls, and doesn’t let go. I love the glimpses into this woman’s mind and heart.

http://musingsofadisturbedmind.wordpress.com/ I can feel this woman’s pain as she hits rock-bottom and comes to the realization that she deserves better than the illusion she’s been living. But I can also feel her spirit struggling to rise from the ashes. I can’t wait for her to break free, and to see just how high she will soar!

http://thediaryofkaren.wordpress.com/ Again, the flip-side of cheating, but this time from an active-cheater who writes with complete honesty about her wild-abandon-experiments into infidelity (and then some!). A fascinating read, by a sexy, intelligent, analytic siren — basically every wife’s worst nightmare — and yet I find myself rooting for her, anyway!
